It shows some of the problems with any compromise, in that it's average but not spectacular at either job.
In fact, its other properties show a remarkably good balance between being a caster weapon (for leveling casters) and a melee weapon (for Act II mercenaries). It's also sometimes used in a staff for casters, as it has good Faster Cast Rate. It still works well as a melee weapon for the Mercenary. The Meditation aura can be a game changer, even to Sorceresses who can regenerate mana with Warmth.
Insight is most commonly used as a weapon for an Act II Mercenary, as the Meditation aura is an amazing boon for low-to-mid-game characters that struggle with mana-intensive builds and few tools to deal with it. Level 12-17 Meditation Aura When Equipped
